Habitat Candidate and Homeowner Interest

Candidate Homeowners are families who have been accepted to build an entire house and are in the process of working on their sweat equity, etc.

Candidate Homeowners become Habitat Homeowners once the dedication has occurred. Habitat also works with current homeowners cosmetic and minor repairs and improvements
to their existing homes.

Habitat homeowners access a new opportunity. And that opportunity is the chance to build a better life for themselves. Habitat homeowners build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. By working with Habitat, Habitat homeowners achieve the independence needed to build a better life for themselves and their families. Habitat homeowners receive financial education, help build their homes and pay a mortgage through a hand up, not a hand out.
The application cycle takes place every January and is now closed for 2022.  In order to apply you must attend one of the Application Meetings offered during the month.
If you are interested in receiving the information for the January 2023 application process, click here to complete the interest form.  Notices for the January meetings are mailed to everyone at the end of October and are emailed to everyone after that point.  The notices contain the dates, times, and locations of the meetings.
