AmeriCorps
with Central SC Habitat for Humanity

what is AmeriCorps

AmeriCorps is a national service program that enables Americans of all ages and backgrounds the ability to complete a service year with non-profit organizations all over the nation. Members use this year of service to address a critical community need. In exchange for their year of service, AmeriCorps members receive a living allowance, education awards, student loan deferment, and various other benefits.

Central SC Habitat and AmeriCorps

Central SC Habitat AmeriCorps members will work alongside our Construction team to build homes for low-income families. For one full year, you can get paid to build sustainable solutions in the Midlands, gain valuable hands on experience, and prepare for your future. Construction Crew leaders play an integral part in building and repairing homes. They lead groups of skilled and unskilled volunteers and homeowner families in construction activities while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. Working with Habitat for Humanity as a Construction Crew leader is an amazing opportunity to learn about construction, volunteer management, and non-profit organization and management.
