Help for Home Repairs Starts Here

You don't have to face a home repair alone. Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity has gathered trusted local resources to help homeowners in Richland, Lexington, and Fairfield Counties find the right kind of help, faster.

A Brush with Kindness

What is A Brush with Kindness Home Repairs?

A Brush with Kindness (ABWK) is Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity's program to help income-qualified homeowners in Richland, Lexington, and Fairfield Counties stay safely in their homes. Working alongside skilled staff, volunteers, and subcontractors, we take on repairs that homeowners often can't safely tackle or afford on their own, including:

  • Accessibility modifications
  • Exterior painting
  • Health and safety repairs (handrails, grab bars, flooring)
  • Mechanical system repairs (heating, plumbing, electrical)
  • Roof replacement
  • Siding and window repairs

How Do I Request a Repair?

ABWK is currently accepting new applications. Contact us to find out if your home and household qualify for our program.
