Habitat Candidate and Homeowner Interest

Candidate Homeowners are families who have been accepted to build an entire house and are in the process of working on their sweat equity, etc.

Candidate Homeowners become Habitat Homeowners once the dedication has occurred. Habitat also works with current homeowners cosmetic and minor repairs and improvements
to their existing homes.

Habitat homeowners access a new opportunity. And that opportunity is the chance to build a better life for themselves. Habitat homeowners build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. By working with Habitat, Habitat homeowners achieve the independence needed to build a better life for themselves and their families. Habitat homeowners receive financial education, help build their homes and pay a mortgage through a hand up, not a hand out.
The application cycle for the Homeowner Program opens every January. All mailed notices for the January 2019 Cycle have been sent out.  The meetings are open to the public, you do not need a notice to attend.
To view or print the notice that was sent out, with all the Application Meeting dates/time, please click the button labeled: 2019 Application Meetings.
You must attend an Application Meeting in order to apply to the program.
